About the Institute
The 2024 NASPO State Procurement Law Institute is an opportunity to further your knowledge of legal issues involved in procurement and to foster a community of interest among those government attorneys representing NASPO’s membership.
New this year!
If the Chief Procurement Officer (NASPO’s Primary Member) is unable to attend, an additional state attorney is approved to attend.
The goals of the Institute are as follows:
- Develop a program that educates attorneys supporting state government procurement on legal issues impacting state central procurement.
- Equip attorneys to collaborate with state central procurement leaders in support of positive contract outcomes for the state.
- Provide an in-person platform for interstate exchange of information among attorneys working in support of central procurement offices.
- Employ innovative formats and best practices in adult education in all aspects of the Institute agenda.
Participation
As a benefit of NASPO membership, each state gets three fully funded registrations: two for attorneys and one for the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) or primary member. If your state wants to send more than three people, choose the “Waitlist” option during registration.
Registration types cannot be transferred:
- Two spots for attorneys per state.
- One spot for the CPO/primary member per state. This must be the CPO or NASPO’s primary member.
If the CPO (NASPO’s Primary Member) can't attend, an additional state attorney may attend.
New Lawyer Bootcamp
This full-day session is available for attorneys with 0-5 years of experience practicing government contracting and/or procurement law. You must be pre-registered for this session to attend. If you are interested in attending the Bootcamp, please elect to participate when completing your registration. Participants must be one of the three attorneys allowed per state, not an additional attorney.
Waitlist
A waitlist is available for states interested in sending more than two attorneys. Choose the "Waitlist" option when registering and select "yes" to be added to the waitlist. Acceptance notifications will be made on October 3.
